Fusagasuga
In Fusagasuga we help 28 families with a total of 65 children between them. The neighbourhoods we are involved in are rife with social issues including drugs and violence. We aim to improve family dynamics and encourage a healthy community by offering parenting classes, emotional, spiritual and material support.
We also run a feeding programme in our 'comedor' (dining room) in Fusagasuga from Monday to Friday, where the children can receive a healthy, filling lunch. For some of them this will be the only meal they eat during the whole day. At the comedor the children also receive help with their homework, opportunities to do arts and crafts, and Biblical teaching. Additionally they have the chance to get involved in environmental projects where they can help to clean up their communities and create safe, recreational spaces.
